Best Movie Websites

For a movie that's coming out on limited release, the movie website for The Air I Breathe is a pretty good site, especially considering alot of limited release films don't bother with a site! Someone with some technical savvy put the site up and even provided some nice desktop wallpaper from the movie! The offerings are basic, the Air I Breathe trailer, a link to the screenings schedule, and a movie gallery - they did a nice job on the movie gallery, once the page finally loads, the images pop up nicely in a carousel type fashion as you go through them. Check out the movie synopses (movie's about hidden connections tie four people together - a businessman, a pop star, a gangster, and a doctor - actors include Andy Garcia, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Brendan Fraser, Kevin Bacon, Forest Whitaker, Emile Hirsch, and Julie Delpy), and then surf on over to the Air I Breathe myspace page. Couldn't score this website high because there wasn't alot there, but nice effort!

One of the best features on the Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street website is the "Cut Your Own Trailer" feature (click the link right from the main Sweeney Todd page). I havent seen it done quite like this before....basically you can choose from different video clips, add in music, transitions, arrange everything the way you want, and create your own trailer for the movie. There's actually alot of functionality considering it is just done straight online - you can rearrange your clips in the timeline, edit clips to make them shorter, fade music out, and even change the videos to black and white, or other colors. When you're done, publish the Sweeney Todd trailer you created and other people can vote on if they liked what you did, you'll also get a code to embed it on your own site (check out my Sweeney Todd Trailer I created below!) From the mainsite, you can also send a Sweeney Todd Holiday E-Card to wish your friends a "Killer Christmas", it's at the bottom of the page and marked "Send a Custom Lovett Meat Pie E-Card". Links to Facebook and Myspace can also be found here. When you'd done exploring, go ahead and click on "Enter the Site", and you're in Sweeney Todd's world. Click on the "Players" link in the upper right to learn about the characters in the movie (Mrs. Lovett, Judge Turpin, Johanna, Anthony Hope, Adolfo Pirelli, and of course Sweeney Todd) and get "Exclusive Desktop Downloads" (just move your mouse around the screen and the link will pop up.) Under Menu, you'll find even more links, including info about the movie, cast, and crew, Image gallery, video clips and trailer, tracks of the music from the movie, and wallpapers, screensavers, buddy icons and banners.
