Gregory, who was born in Kenya and has a PhD in 18th century literature from Edinburgh University talks about Anne Boleyn, Natalie Portman (who plays Anne Boleyn), Scarlett Johansson's passion for the book (Johansson plays the "other" Boleyn sister Mary Boleyn), the film adaptation, historical fiction, and how she became a writer. The movie is based on the historical fiction novel by Gergory, and is about sisters Anne Boleyn's and Mary Boleyn's affection for the King Henry of England (played by Eric Bana). Overall, the movie is entertaining. I thought the acting was good, particularly Scarlett Johansson's. The cinematography and editing leave much to be desired, and the entire movie seems rushed. If you have any knowledge of Tudor history,you will recognize the many inaccuracies, but those did not bother me as much as did the fact that important characters were omitted, undeveloped, or even seemingly forgotten (as in the case of Mary's husband, William Carey).
