For a movie with such good actors that looks like it could be pretty exciting, the movie website for the Expendables is just – eh. It could have had more goodies for those visiting the site. But alas, all you’ll find there are the basics – cast & crew, photos, videos, story – bleh. They’re OK, but where is the pizzazz?? They do have a news section as well, but none of the expendables news is very interesting at all, and truthfully I didnt read any of it. The best part of the movie’s website is probably going to be then the downloads section where you’ll find wallpaper and AIM Icons (not alot right? I know! But that’s all this site had!)

Movie Synopses: The Expendables is about mercenaries hired to infiltrate a South American Country and overthrow its dictator. When the mission begins, the men discover things arent what they thought, and they struggle with deceit and betrayal. The leader of the men is Barney Ross (played by Sylvester Stallone) – a fearless strategist and cynic. His men (played by Jason Statham, Jet Li, and Terry Crews) are experts in their own area (weapons, intelligence, etc.) take a job with Barney to overthrow the dictator of a small island country called Vilena.

Eat, Pray, Love Crossword & Soduku with Julia Roberts

The movie website for the new Julia Robert’s film – Eat, Pray, Love has alot of great graphics from the movie.  The best part of the movie website are the word games – you have two to choose between – a crossword populated with words associated with – you guessed it – eating, praying, and loving, and the second game is a version of Soduku – except instead of playing with numbers, you play with symbols. Great variation on the game! Great lunch time activity if you’re at work and bored!

The rest of the website is a little bit boring and not very well put-together – looks like after they got us the wordgames they stopped! Here’s what I mean – there is an interactive trailer which is really not too interactive – the “interactivity” is being able to move your mouse on part of the trailer which gives you little tidbits and facts about the movie. Eh. Then there is a Scrapbook link lets you upload your own photo to become part of the Eat, Love, Pray scrapbook (not too very impressive). Eh.

The rest of the site? The navigation opens up with three main tabs – (Eat – Pray – Love).  Looking for visual photograph of a great looking meal?  On the eat page you’ll find pictures of appetizing dishes.  The pray tab has images of inspirational places around the world, and the Love tab has romantic pictures. And of course there’s the standard downloads section (wallpaper, screensavers, and twitter), videos, and photos section.

Movie Synopses: Eat, Love, Pray is about Liz Gilbert (played by Julia Roberts) a recently divorced woman still searching for something in her life. She sets out on a trip around the world, visiting India, Italy, and Bali, finally finding inner peace and balance in Bali.

The Other Guys Twitter Game

The movie website for The Other Guys, starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell has a few reasons to visit.

1.  The best part of The Other Guys’ website is the Twitter Game.  I’ve never really seen a twitter game before! But it looks pretty cool – basically, you sign up to let the other guys help you interrogate your friends on Twitter.  Step one, is you follow OtherGuysMovie on twitter.  Every day you’ll get a new tweet from @otherguysmovie with an interrogation tactic for your friends.  All you have to do is Retweet the interrogation and include #OtherGuysMovie.

2.  Another cool part of the movie website is The Cadet Academy.  At the Cadet Academy there are three tests that you play to see if you’re stuck behind a desk or if you can hit the streets – the tests include a personality test, crime scene test, and lineup test.

The rest of the website offers the standard fair – photo library of image stills, video section with the movie trailer, and a downloads section with movie wallpaper, twitter skins, and AIM icons.  Overall?  This website is worth a visit for a little bit of fun!

Movie Synopses:  The Other Guys stars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, and Samuel L. Jackson and is about 2 NYPD detectives (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L Jackson) who are the baddest and best cops around.  The “Other Guys” are Ferrell and Wahlberg who stumble onto a case that gives them the opportunity to turn their reputations around.

Salt Movie Games

The movie website for the new release Salt is worth a visit and has plenty of fun things to do- either before or after you see the movie!  The best part of the site by far are the games sections. These games are really well done, and worth your time playing! There are two to choose from…

The first game is the Salt Online Movie Game. You start by selecting your gender, and then are told that you’ve been identified as a Russian Double agent and must escape CIA headquarters. You’re given a gun and secondary weapons and must navigate your way out!

The second game which is one of my favorites on the Salt movie website is called Day X Exists that sets you up as a Junior Agent whose job is to find Evelyn Salt. It starts out by opening you up to a pretty cool interactive dashboard. Click on the different things and you’ll be taken through a series of video clips that make you feel like you’re a real agent. The video will stop at different points giving you options on how you want to react in certain situations. This is a really cool game that gets you really immersed in Salt!

Other things you can do on the Salt site include clicking on the View the Salt Dossier, to take you through a timeline of interactive video, images, and text of what has been happening. If you weren’t interested in seeing the movie before, you’ll be interested in seeing it after this!  The site also has a downloads section where you can get Twitter Skins and wallpaper, a mobile section where you can keep tabs on if the IPhone / IPad game is ready yet (wasn’t at the time of this writing), and the typical video, gallery, and cast links.

Movie Synopses:  The movie Salt is about a CIA agent named Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) who is accused of being a Russian spy.  Salt goes on the run and tries to uncover the truth.

Make your Dog Talk with Marmaduke

The website for the new movie Marmaduke is a site for dog-lovers! The best part of the site is the fact that you can upload pictures of your dogs and mix them up to create some cool pics and videos. Try out the “Make Your Dog A Star” link where you upload your dog’s pic, customize his mouth to talk, and make him the star of his very own Marmaduke trailer! You can also try out the “Make your dog talk” link which, instead of allowing you to customize a trailer, will simply customize your dogs face – he won’t be in a video, just in a pic. Use your own voice, text to speech, or a clip from the movie for the dog’s words!

When you’re done playing around with making your dog a star, check out the movie game link. You’ll find an assortment of dog-oriented games to play including Jump and Fetch, Toilet B Ball, Surfin’ with Marmaduke, and Destructo Derby. That’s all there is to do on the website – games and dog uploads…no cast and crew section, no detailed synopses, no boring stuff to read! but let’s face it, how many of you really care about anything other than the fun stuff? The only reason you come anyway is to have fuN and play games! So this is the perfect site
